1960 Tripcony 42 - Restless
Built in Brisbane Tripcony slipways, Restless is well known in local waters. She is set up to be capable of being away for long periods, as long as the 1000ltrs of fuel lasts (and food). A rain water collection system feeds the 1000ltr stainless steel tanks. Four solar panels keep the batteries fully charged, and these keep the fridge, freezer and anchor light going when off the boat.
diesel and petrol generators are also on board. She is a great live aboard, weekend cruiser or long trip boat. She has made many long journeys with her previous owner.
There are beds for 6. Two of the original bunks have been converted to a king size very comfortable bed. A rare find in these boats. The forward cabin is large, lots of wardrobe space and more than full head height.
New carpet has been laid throughout and the upholstery is currently being renewed. A new stereo with outside speakers has also been fitted.
Restless is powered by 5lw gandner engine, which has just had a major service completed... Receipt available. It starts and runs perfectly. The engine is located in a fully accessible engine room. Storage runs almost the entire length of the hull.
A recent survey report is available which states that this boat is in exceptional condition. This is current and can be used for insurance purposes. It can be provided on request.

Engine: gardner 5LW original engine serviced regularly. Has been checked and had a major service by a gardner specialist.
Fuel consumption: approx 4-5 ltrs per hour at 7 knots.
Speed: between 6-8.5 knots depending on tide and wind (note: engine can be easily modified to increase RPM and speed.)
Hull: spotted gum, sanded back to wood in mid 2015 and fully repainted. Full steel shoe fitted. Caulking checked and in good condition.
Anti-foul: clean and good condition. Recommend hull clean in 4 months and anti-foul in around 12 months. Anodes in good condition.
Fuel: diesel, approx 1000 ltrs in 4 stainless tanks.
Water: 1000 ltrs rain water fed in two stainless steel tanks
Generator: integrated onan diesel generator (generator runs well, however isnt producing charge. Will need some attention). Petrol portable generator as back up.
Tender: included with 3.3 hp outboard, just serviced and very reliable. Tender stores on davits at back of boat.
Refridgeration: full domestic style waeco fridge/freezer in kitchen, runs off solar power when not on boat to keep food fresh. Second freezer engel also runs off solar power.
Winch: excellent winch with front controls.
Anchor: 1+2 anchors. Alot of anchor chain
Sleeping: forward cabin is large and spacious. A king size bed with two bunks above in the forward cabin. Two more beds in the main cabin.
Air conditioning: in forward cabin. Runs on shore power or generator.
Navigation equipment: furuno gps/fishfinder, simrad auto pilot, chart plotter
Kitchen: full kitchen with lots of storage. Gas 4 burner stove.
Bathroom: toilet with compliant sani-loo treatment system. Shower with gas instant hot water. Basin can be removed if more room is required in the bathroom. A second basin area is located in the forward cabin.
Laundry: a washing machine is located in the engine room/hull.
Deck wash: a full deck wash runs from sea water, enabling the entire deck to be washed down easily. A second electric pumps runs at the rear of the boat for fishing or quick washes.
Entertainment: multi-directional aerial, tv and new stereo fitted with outside speakers.
